Celebrate Earth Day and protect one acre of threatened habitat

Check out our Amazing Bugs!

Each year, Earth Day falls on April 22. In 2011, Earth Day falls on a Friday, though many schools, businesses, and communities will be celebrating Earth Day all week long and into the weekend.

Carolina has worked with Earth’s Birthday Project to develop and sell the Amazing Bugs kits, which include a poster and experiments. When you purchase an Amazing Bugs™ product, you make a donation to purchase and protect one acre of threatened habitat to help and save endangered species. Since 1989, students and teachers participating in the Big Gift to the Earth initiative have raised more than $6 million to purchase and conserve more than 400,000 acres of precious rain forest and ocean habitat.

Share what you are doing in your classroom or school to celebrate Earth’s Birthday and Earth Day! I look forward to reading your creative ideas.
