Students set up and care for three separate habitats in the STC™ Animal Studies unit: Frogs, Fiddler Crabs, and Millipedes. In Lesson 6, students observe Fiddler Crabs closely. Having observed and recorded some general observations of the crab, students now focus specifically on its body structure and behavioral characteristics related to its survival: when, how, and what it eats; how it gets air and water; and how it protects itself.
